Weekend's Wary Ways: Lighting is Key

May 04, 2012

As you guys know, I'm new to blogger and I've noticed some blogs doing features every week. I would like to try it out, and thought it would be cool if I would give off photography tips every weekend, called Weekend's Wary Ways! Today, we're going to talk about how lighting is very important in photography.
1: It's fun to play around with lighting, especially when there are really nice patterns that get formed from the sun and your window or grates.
2: Shadows can be really dramatic and mysterious if you get a nice photo of it. You don't want to make it too over-exposed if your working with light and shadows, or else that will remove your attention from it.
3: Lighting can be very interesting when it falls on things like plants, animals or inanimate objects.
4:Natural light is the best to work with, because the flash over-exposes the picture for me.
And last but not the least,
5: Have fun, and be creative! You don't need to be so technical in photography, if you see something that you like or is interesting, just take a photo of it! Hope this helps, have a great weekend :)
