Perks of Being a Web-blogger

September 15, 2012

I wanted to share to you all why I just love blogging, and the joys of having this site. Also, the book Perks Of Being
A Wallflower is lovely. Though I found it quite peculiar at first. You were probably wondering about the title, is all.

 1. Discover new things
You probably didn't notice it at first, but while you progress with blogging, you get to discover about new things.
It could be self-discovery, or about others, or what you want to be when you grow up, I don't know. But I learned
a lot--even though I've been here for only a few months--and people who have been blogging for years would probably
get what I'm saying. Right? Anyways, my point is, this 'hobby' of ours will be (or is) a wonderful adventure that
you will definitely won't forget, and you are guaranteed to get something out of it.

2. Meet new people
Self-explanatory, you will not just meet new people, but you will meet lovely, extremely nice, understanding and polite
fellow bloggers on the way. Your followers, comment-ers, and penpals could end up being your close friend for life
and you guys could eventually meet each other in person! But a little warning: not all people on social networks
are 'real'--Beware of stalkers/creepers on the internet!

3. Document your life
They say memories last forever. But why not make those memories even more memorable with pictures, words,
videos and a blog? Trust me, before I used to have a little 'journal' that I wouldn't go without, but a blog is just
one hundred times more convenient and easy to update, not to mention more colorful and creative! With this little
corner of the internet of yours, you can look back at all those fun times, ideas and thoughts that you had, and you
can start making new ones!

4. Learn about HTML/CSS
Okay, not all of us here know how to do HTML and CSS like pros, but then you eventually have to learn on your
own at least the basics of it. I mean, I designed this blog myself with the help of puglypixel! And believe it or not,
we're taking up HTML in computer technology class and I think it's going to be a smooth term for me and my fellow
blogging-friends ;) I guess being geeky has it's benefits!

5. Unleash your inner creativity
Whether your forte is design, fashion, photography, crafting or just merely writing about your day, then by all means
do it and blog about it. "Everyone is best at something, but no one is best at everything" --Sandy Cheeks
and if you don't know what you're good at or love to do yet, then blogging is a great way to express your thoughts
and find out what that something is. Just have fun, no one has the right to judge you since it's your own blog where
you can write, take photos, create, show, record, etc., anything that you want.

The list goes on, really, because blogging is merely and simply awesome.

  5. All of this--just, yes. I've learned so much while blogging, from photography to HTML and CSS to getting better at communicating what I mean, etc.
