mother's day

May 12, 2014

it's that time of the year again, the day we dedicate the person who loved us, even before we were born. the day before mother's day, i really just spent time with my mom, watching movies and laying down. by night time, i totally forgot about making a card for her, thus sleeping by 12 o clock. it was rushed, not a portrait, and a lot smaller than the painting i made for Katy, but she loved it. (just a few days ago, i painted a portrait of Katy Perry when i found out about a fanbook they were making. it was a challenge, but nevertheless a success.)

then i realized, moms have this nature of loving their children. three-dimensional, unconditional, never-ending love and it's hard to pay it back to them. a little card won't do, or a massage, or spending a day with them. there's your whole lifetime to pay them back, a life full of love and respect for your mother. she doesn't care about what you give her, but she cares about how you treat her.

Her children arise and call her blessed.
-- Proverbs 31:28

p.s. happy mother's day to all the moms out there!
